
County High Falls to 0-4 After 49-0 Loss to Hewitt-Trussville
TUSCALOOSA, Ala.— Tuscaloosa County High remained winless Friday night, falling 49-0 to Hewitt-Trussville after the Huskies exploded for 28 first-quarter points on just eight offensive plays.

The game began with Hewitt-Trussville forcing County High into a three-and-out on its opening drive. The Huskies capitalized just two plays later when sophomore quarterback Jack Floyd connected with senior tight end Jackson Martin for a five-yard touchdown, putting Hewitt ahead 7-0 with 9:40 left in the first quarter.
The Huskies went on to score three more times in the opening quarter, with their first 28 points coming on just eight plays. Floyd threw two more touchdown passes, connecting with his senior tight end for the second time on a 49-yard score, then hitting senior wide receiver DJ Hall for a 50-yard touchdown to put the Huskies up 21-0 with 3:45 left in the first quarter.
Hewitt-Trussville scored again in the final minute of the first quarter, as sophomore running back Daniel Williams ran it in from ten yards out to give the Huskies a commanding 28-point lead heading into the second quarter.
County High’s offense found some rhythm in the second quarter, driving inside the red zone. However, they turned it over on downs after Hewitt-Trussville stuffed them on 4th-and-5, giving the Huskies possession inside their own ten-yard line with 5:46 left in the first half.
Hewitt-Trussville scored once more before halftime, capping a 93-yard drive in just three minutes with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Floyd to junior wide receiver Henry Farrell. This put Hewitt up 35-0 at halftime.
The Huskies shut out County High for the rest of the game and scored twice more in the second half to finish with a 49-0 victory.
County High falls to 0-4 and has been outscored 217-7 in its first four games. The Wildcats will look to bounce back next Friday, September 18, when they travel to Alabaster to face Alabama 2027 quarterback commit Trent Seaborn and the defending state champion Thompson.
