Crimson Tide Guard Megan Abrams Joins 1,000-Point Club
Crimson Tide guard Megan Abrams reached 1,000 points on her career after scoring a pull-up jump shot against Tulane on Monday night. She is now sitting at a career total of 1,009 points while playing at The Capstone.
The women's 81-77 win over the Green Wave was a sweet one following a regular season loss to Tulane in November after missing a game-tying shot at the buzzer in the fourth quarter. The Tide went 24-of-48 shooting 50% on the field, with four starters dropping double digit numbers.
The Crimson Tide was led by JaMya Mingo-Young with 21 points and Brittany Davis with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Megan Abrams scored 19 points while Hannah Barber scored 12 points.
After getting their revenge on Tulane Monday night, the ladies will advance to the third round of the WNIT to take on the Houston Cougars on Thursday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa.
