All fall sports in the Southeastern Conference were delayed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However the good news is that the fall seasons were not cancelled entirely as was the case in other conferences. Today the SEC announced the new schedule for the women's soccer season.

The Crimson Tide will play an eight-match, conference only regular season spanning eight weeks on the calendar. Each school will play all six of its divisional opponents along with two cross-divisional games with the season set to kick off on Sept. 19.

There will be no general admission for fans this season due to social distancing guidelines at the Alabama Soccer Stadium. Attendance will be limited to a coaches and players pass list only. Fans will are permitted will be required to wear face masks at all times unless eating or drinking and will be required to sit in specified socially distanced seating.

The new Alabama schedule is as follows.

  • vs. Tennessee in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 19
  • at Mississippi State in Starkville on Sept. 25
  • at Florida in Gainsville on Oct. 4
  • vs. Arkansas in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 11
  • vs. Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 18
  • at LSU in Baton Rouge on Oct. 23
  • vs. Texas A&M on Oct. 30
  • at Auburn on Nov. 8

Alabama will then travel to Orange Beach beginning on Nov. 13 to compete in the SEC Championship tournament. All 14 schools will be invited to take part in the competition with each team promised at least two matches.

Last season the Tide finished with a 10-7-3 record and went 4-4-2 in SEC play. Coach Wes Hart is entering his fifth year at the helm and is hoping to build off last season's program long unbeaten streak of six straight games.
