Dee Liner Released From Scholarship at Alabama

Earlier today, Alabama sophomore defensive lineman Dee Liner announced via his Twitter account that he has been released from his scholarship.

This is what he shared on Twitter Monday morning:

Liner was a member of Alabama's 2013 Signing Day class.  Originally committed to Auburn, he was a highly covetted prospect.  However, since arriving in Tuscaloosa he has had trouble cracking the rotation on a defensive line that has become one of the deepest talent-wise in the SEC.This season, his only stat was a tackle against Western Carolina.

Liner will likely transfer to finish out his eligibility.
