On June 14 2022, a photo was released of Derrick Henry standing side-by-side with quarterback Malik Willis at a Tennessee Titans practice.. Derrick Henry seems to dwarf the 6-foot-1 quarterback. Derrick Henry is reportedly 6-foot-3, 237 pounds.

After looking at the photo, I can’t help but feel that somebody is lying. Either Derrick Henry is way bigger than he is saying he is or Malik Willis is not 6-foot-1.

When speaking with Jill Jelnick of FOX Nashville, Malik Willis had this to say “That’s a big human, dude, I just thought he was huge. I was like, ‘dang, I see why he’s stiff-arming people and all that.’ That’s what’s up, though, he’s on my team.”

A comparable running back from the University of Alabama would be Najee Harris, standing at 6-foot-2, 240 pounds. Even Najee doesn't seem nearly as big as Derrick Henry. Maybe it's just a difference in muscle mass? Here's a video of Najee doing drills at practice. Does he pass the eye test to you?

Derrick Henry only played in eight games last season due to breaking his 5th metatarsal in his right foot. He still managed to post 937 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. I would expect him to bounce back big time this year, especially since they are missing wide receiver A.J. Brown.
