Both players were stars for Alabama with Henry shining back in 2015 and Jacobs breaking records in 2018.

In a podcast, Henry said he was "proud of Josh. He worked for it. He went crazy," as Jacobs topped all NFL rushers this season with 1,653 yards and 12 touchdowns on 340 rushing attempts. Henry finished just over 100 yards short of Jacobs as he compiled 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns on 349 rushing attempts.

Jacobs averaged 97.2 rushing yards in 17 games and Henry averaged 96.1 rushing yards in 16 games in 2022.

No two players from the same college have finished first and second in rushing in the same NFL season since the 1990 season when the Detroit Lions’ Barry Sanders led the league and the Buffalo Bills’ Thurman Thomas finished second. They both played at Oklahoma State.

Alabama has always been known for having great running backs that go on to be very successful in the NFL, and this season was a perfect display of that.
