Former Alabama Running Back Wins NFL Rushing Title
Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs has won the 2022 NFL Rushing Title.
The Las Vegas Raiders starter rushed or 1,653 yards, the most by any running back in the league. He also had 340 rush attempts and 12 touchdowns.
He had the most rushes for a first down, the second-most attempts in total, and was tied for the second-most rushing touchdowns scored.
The Okla., native played three seasons at the Capstone, recording 251 rush attempts for 1,491 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also caught 48 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns.
Jacobs was drafted by the Raiders with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and became the starting guy from the get-go.
The fourth-year starter has 1,072 rushing attempts for 4,740 yards and 40 touchdowns, as well as 160 receptions for 1,152 yards in his professional career thus far.
However, he was not the only Alabama alumnus at the top of the list. Former Alabama running back Derrick Henry was No. 2 in rush yards this season with 1,538 yards.
The Raiders went 6-11 in 2022 at finished No. 3 in the AFC West.
