Derrick McKey joined Inside The Locker Room this morning to talk to Wimp and Barry Sanderson. McKey talked with the coaches about his time in the NBA, his experience at Alabama and his son's prospective basketball career. The full interview can be heard on the Tide 100.9 Youtube page.

McKey played basketball at Alabama from 1984-87 under coach Wimp Sanderson. McKey earned SEC Player of the Year in 1987. Alabama won the 1987 SEC Tournament and McKey was the tournament MVP. The Crimson Tide never missed the NCAA Tournament while McKey was at the Capstone.

McKey was drafted ninth overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He played for 15 seasons in the NBA making the finals with the Indiana Pacers in 2000.
