Dick Butkus Has High Praise for Reuben Foster & Dylan Moses [AUDIO]

Many great linebackers have played for The University of Alabama through its illustrious history, but Nick Saban has recruited and coached some of the best through his ten years in Tuscaloosa. 

At no time has that been more evident than a 24 hour period earlier this week when Alabama senior Reuben Foster was surprised with the Butkus Award at the team's football banquet and then Crimson Tide commitment Dylan Moses received the high school Butkus the following day.

NFL Hall of Famer Dick Butkus traveled to Tuscaloosa and to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, to present the awards to both players in person. The following day, he joined Ryan Fowler on The Game to discuss the two winners and what attributes he sees in each player.

First up was Foster, who also won the SEC Championship MVP Award on Saturday. Butkus said he runaway winner this season.

"I think he's just the definition of what this award or who this award goes to and the reason why people receive it," Butkus said. "He's just an all-around great player. He loves to hit."

Butkus said he was impressed with Foster as both a player and a person and expects big things out of him at the next level.

"This kid's going to be a good one at the next level. What more can you say? He's a team guy. He seems like a very humble guy. He has all the attributes of what you need to have a great linebacker and a leader on defense."

The conversation moved to Moses, the five-star linebacker who's been recruited since the eighth grade. Butkus told Fowler that he's a spitting image of Foster in attitude and aggressiveness.

"Our selection committee head guy told us the other day when he let us know that (Moses) had won the award, he says, 'Get ready because you'll probably be going fairly shortly to give this guy the college award. He's that good.'

Alabama has now won three of the past eight Butkus Awards and four all-time since the nation's best linebacker honor was created in 1985.
