Alabama Linebacker Caleb Woodson Named to Butkus Award Watchlist
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On Thursday morning, a Virginia Tech transfer linebacker was named to the Butkus Award Watchlist in his first season with the Crimson Tide, Alabama Football announced on X.

Woodson is among 51 players named to the Watchlist for the Butkus Award, presented annually to the top linebacker in college football.

Woodson played the previous three seasons at Virginia Tech before joining the Crimson Tide in January, where he has already secured a starting inside linebacker spot. He appeared in 35 games across 3 seasons in Blacksburg, where he recorded 152 career tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three pass breakups, and one interception.
