Elite 2025 four-star edge Javion Hilson informed On3's Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday that he plans to visit seven teams in the upcoming months. The teams on his visiting list are Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Syracuse, Texas, Texas A&M, and Florida.

Javion Hilson, the second-ranked edge in the class of 2025 according to On3, decommitted from Florida State this past Sunday. He had originally committed to the Seminoles in January after decommitting from the Crimson Tide following the retirement of the Tide's former head coach, Nick Saban.

The 4-star edge out of Cocoa High School (Cocoa, FL) recently began his Senior season, hoping to pick up where he left off and lead his team to their third straight Florida 2S title after leading Cocoa to their second straight Florida 2S title in his junior season, where the 2025 Edge was all over the field, recording 97 tackles (27TFL) and 14 sacks, according to Hilson's scouting report from 247 Andrew Ivens.

The 6-foot-4 225-pound Edge has freakish athleticism, with his lengthy wingspan allowing him to blast through offensive linemen before they can get off the line. Hilson would be a significant addition to the Tides' 2025 recruiting class, which is currently ranked second in the nation and first in the SEC, according to 247 Recruiting Football Team Rankings.

Hilson would be the second edge commitment in the 2025 class, following Justin Hill, the fourth-ranked edge in the class according to 247 Composite rankings, who committed to the Tide in July.

Javion Hilson, who last visited the Tide on March 8, 2024, has confirmed that he will return to Tuscaloosa in the future months. Although Alabama had not been a strong contender for the four-star edge player since he de-committed from the program has made strides and hopes to clinch his commitment to Alabama's 2025 class during his next visit.

Texas is now winning the recruiting battle for the four-star edge following his de-commitment from Florida State this weekend, with On3's Recruiting Prediction Meter indicating an 85.3% chance of landing Hilson.

Hilson has yet to disclose the date of his planned visit to Tuscaloosa, but Kalen Deboer and Alabama will be looking to lure the star edge back to campus before his Commitment, which is set for December. The Crimson Tide had just enough time to make a move against the Cocoa, Florida native.

This week, Hilson will attend Florida's home game versus conference opponent Texas A&M. Follow Tide100.9 on X and Facebook for the latest Alabama football and basketball recruiting news and updates.
