Former Alabama and Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson joined Host Gary Harris Thursday morning to discuss and evaluate the Crimson Tide's 46-41 loss to LSU and preview their weekend match up against Mississippi State.

"Both defenses were okay," Coach Johnson told Host Harris. "But they couldn't stop the other team effectively. LSU's defense played better on critical downs, third downs, and had two takeaways and the turnovers were huge."

"There were unforced errors that LSU did nothing to cause," Coach Johnson told Harris. "The list goes on and on, this isn't a typical of an Alabama team, I just think they had a bad game. I know LSU forced a lot of it."

You can listen to Gary's full conversation with Ellis Johnson as they discuss the College Football Playoff Committee rankings and preview the SEC's weekend slate.

"It's up to the leadership in the locker room," Coach Johnson continued with Harris. "The leadership of the coaches to get the program back on track. But, if you have a terrible focus and not very good attention to detail throughout the week, then you better be prepared for a Saturday that's not going to be your best performance."
