Class of 2023, five-star edge Jaquavious "Qua" Russaw is down to his final six schools, Florida, Ohio State, Auburn, Georgia, Alabama State, and Alabama.

The 6'2, 230 lb defensive star ranks at No. 59 nationally, No. 8 in edges, and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Ala., according to 247Sports.

In his last two seasons at Carver High School, Russaw made 171 tackles, 39.5 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks. Last season, he helped the Wolverines to a 5-6 record, third in the 6A Region 2 rankings, and a playoff appearance where its season ended with a 56-6 loss to Hillcrest.

The Montgomery, Ala., native made the 2021 All-State First-Team.

"Quick twitch explosive off the line of scrimmage. Compensates for lack of length on the edge with play strength and ability to play with power. Demonstrates heavy hands at the point of attack. Shows the ability to generate consistent pass-rush with initial quickness, play strength, and motor. Plays with excellent range and closing speed off the ball, displaying a violence at the point of attack. Instinctive three-down linebacker that has ability to play on or off ball at the next level and can add pass-rushing value on passing downs. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia has a 45.8% chance to land the upcoming senior, while Alabama has a 33.7% chance.
