Five-Star Wide Receiver Flips Commitment from Alabama to Auburn

Five-star class of 2024 wide receiver Perry Thompson has flipped his commitment from Alabama to Auburn.

Thompson committed to Alabama on June 24, 2022, however reports state that Auburn was trying hard to force a flip.

The Ala., ranks No. 32 nationally, No. 8 in wide receivers, and No. 4 in the state of Ala., according to 247Sports Composite. 

This is the second five-star commit that the Tigers flipped this week, joining linebacker Demarcus Riddick, who was originally committed to Georgia.

According to 247Sports, Thompson is Auburn's 14th commitment for the class of 2024 and the Tigers now rank at No. 17 in their class of 2024 recruiting rankings.
