Former Alabama tight end O.J. Howard is signing with the Las Vegas Raiders.

"The Las Vegas Raiders have signed unrestricted free agent O.J. Howard, the club announced Monday," wrote the Raiders. 

The Ala., played four seasons at the Capstone. During his Tide tenure, he recorded 114 receptions for 1,726 yards and seven touchdowns.

Howard was drafted as the No. 19 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He stayed on the team until 2021, then signed with the Buffalo Bills in March of 2022 as a free agent. He was released by Bills in August and signed with the Houston Texans days later where he spent the rest of the season.

The former Super Bowl champion has seen time in 72 games in the league, recording 129 receptions for 1,882 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Howard will join former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs on a rebuilding Raiders team.
