Calvin Ridley, a former Crimson Tide wide receiver who currently plays wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the third time in his career after a 39-yard reception for a first down by Ridley from Titans quarterback Will Levis in Tennessee's 23-14 loss against the Houston Texans in the Titans' last game of the regular season. Despite the Titans' poor record, Ridley had a productive year with the sixth-year wide receiver recording 1,017 receiving yards.

Ridley has recently completed his sixth season in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons selected the former Crimson Tide wide receiver with the 26th pick in the 2018 NFL draft. He spent four years in Atlanta, where Ridley had his first season of receiving for over 1,000 yards, with 1,374 yards and nine touchdown receptions in 2020.

The Titans wideout was suspended indefinitely by the league for gambling on games during the 2022 season. Following the news, Ridley was traded to Jacksonville, where he recorded over 1,000 receiving yards for the second time in his career in 2023, with 1,016 yards through the air and 8 touchdown receptions.

In the 2024 NFL offseason, Ridley signed with the Tennessee Titans for a four-year contract worth 92 million dollars, with $50 million guaranteed.

Ridley was a two-time CFP National Champion for the Crimson Tide, winning in 2015 and 2017. The Titans wideout has the second-most receptions in Alabama Football history, with 224 during his tenure in Tuscaloosa, and he finished second in school history in receiving yards, with 2,781 total yards.

Alabama is recognized for producing top-tier receivers, like Julio Jones, who has seven 1,000-yard seasons, Amari Cooper, who has eclipsed 1,000 yards six times in his career, and Devonta Smith, who has a pair of seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards.

Only time will tell who will be the next great wide receiver to come out of Alabama and join that historical list.
