Bulovas was a member of the Tide from 2017-20. The Mandeville, Ala. native appeared in 26 games for the Tide, converting on 22-of-29 field goals, connecting on 134 extra point attempts, and booting 57 touchbacks.

Bulovas lost the starting job to Will Reichard in 2019 and did not see action at all in 2020, leading him to enter the transfer portal in January 2021. Bulovas chose to join another SEC opponent in the Vanderbilt Commodores where he immediately saw action under Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea.

In the 2021 season, Bulovas went 14-of-19 on field goals and connected on all 15 of his extra point attempts. Bulovas hit two game-winning fields goals last season, earning SEC Special Teams Player of the Week both times.

This season, Bulovas is 2-of-2 on field goals and 21-of-21 on extra point attempts through four games.

The fifth-year senior’s efforts are being noted by his former head coach.

“Their kicking game is good… Joseph has done a good job of kicking for them,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban in his Monday press conference.

Bulovas and the Commodores enter Bryant-Denny Stadium with a 3-1 record. Kickoff on Saturday is at 6:30 p.m. CST on Saturday.
