Former Alabama standout JD Davison ecorded a triple-double in just three quarters, leading his team to a win over the Delaware Blue Coats. Davison finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the third triple-double of his G League career.

A consensus five-star recruit, Davison was one of the most electrifying players in Alabama high school history. At Calhoun High School, he was a two-time Alabama Mr. Basketball winner (2020, 2021), averaging 33.4 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 steals per game as a junior. He led his team to back-to-back state championship appearances, hitting a buzzer-beater to win the title in 2020.

At Alabama, Davison played 33 games (six starts) as a freshman, averaging 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He led the team in assists and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. Notable performances included a career-high 20 points against No. 3 Gonzaga and his first career double-double (13 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds) against Miami.

Following his freshman season, Davison declared for the 2022 NBA Draft and was selected 53rd overall by the Boston Celtics. He appeared in 12 games as a rookie, averaging 1.6 points and 0.9 assists in limited minutes.

Transitioning to the G League, Davison quickly became a key player for the Maine Celtics. In the 2022-23 season, he averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 8.7 assists. This season, he has taken his game to another level, posting 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game.

Davison and the Maine Celtics return to action tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. CT against the Windy City Bulls. Fans can watch the game live on NBAGLeague.com.
