Former Georgia Offensive Lineman Commit Flips to Crimson Tide
On Monday, four-star class of 2023 offensive lineman Ryqueze McElderry committed to the University of Alabama after de-committing from Georgia just two days earlier. McElderry is now the fifth in-state 2023 commit for Nick Saban's illustrious program.

McElderry had been committed to the Bulldogs since December of 2021, but a conversation with his mother led to Saturday's announcement that he had re-opened his recruitment. The Anniston, Ala., native chose to visit Tuscaloosa on January 22 despite being committed to Georgia at the time, and the visit clearly left a lasting impression.
Offensive line coach Eric Wolford and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins have overseen his recruitment up to this point.
Measuring in at 6'3" and 340 pounds, McElderry is ranked No. 45 in interior offensive lineman nationally in his class and No. 24 overall player in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports.
Alabama's 2023 class now boasts ten recruits and is ranked No. 17 with two five-star commits and five four-stars.
