Former North Dakota State forward Grant Nelson is set to transfer to Alabama.

Nelson chose the Crimson Tide over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He spent three seasons as a Bison. Last year, he averaged 17.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, as well as 52.1% field goal, 26.9% from behind the arc, 50 blocks, and 23 steals.

The North Dakota native is a four-star in the 247Sports Transfer Rankings. He ranks No. 3 overall and No. 1 in power forwards.

He originally declared for the 2023 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility on April 18, but withdrew his name on May 30.

Nelson is third player to come to the Capstone out of the portal, joining former Hofstra guard Aaron Estrada and former Cal State Fullerton guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr.
