Four-star class of 2024 wide receiver/athlete Aeryn Hampton has committed to Texas.

The upcoming senior chose the Longhorns over the Crimson Tide.

The Texas native ranks No. 154 nationally, No. 11 in athletes, and No. 28 in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports Composite.

Last season, Hampton saw time on both sides of the ball. On the offense, he recorded one rush attempt for 27 yards and a touchdown, as well as 55 receptions for 1,161 yards, and 13 touchdowns. On the defense, he recorded 75 tackles, nine interceptions, five pick sixes, five tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and two kickoff returns for touchdowns.

"Displays a unique, somewhat unorthodox, but effective run-after-catch gait that regularly fuels chunk plays. Changes speeds particularly well and flashes elusive stop-start agility. Plays above his listed size in capability of high-pointing contested throws," said national scouting analyst for 247Sports Gabe Brooks. "Tracks deeper throws well and shows some body control and adjustment nuance when required. Very good screen game weapon who could also present a dangerous drag target in the short game. Plays with good initial straight-line burst that eats up cushion."
