I’d love to tell you how Alabama’s Men’s Basketball team will replace Dazon Ingram.

Honestly, I don’t know.
He’s only a freshman. He’s seven games into his collegiate career. He’s not the leading scorer.
Or second.
Or third.
But he is the top rebounder.
He is the best player.
And now his season is done.
Ingram is not the best freshman in America. Probably not in the SEC. But he has been incredibly important to the Alabama Basketball team. He has size, and vision, and strength. H’e s very tough matchup.
But now, Avery Johnson, who has already shown an ability to lead this team to unexpected wins, will have to come up with a formula for success that does not include the reigning Mr. Basketball in the state of Alabama.
It will likely be done by committee. More Retin Obasohan. More Shannon Hale. More Jimmy Taylor (need a lot more of him). It’s Justin Coleman’s time to step up. It’s everybody’s time to step up.
I truly believe Dazon Ingram has some tremendous moments ahead of him in an Alabama uniform. It’s a shame that no more will occur this season.
