Georgia WR Terry Godwin Talks National Championship game and Bulldogs Upcoming Season

The college football season ended with Tua Tagovailoa game-winning touchdown to Devonta Smith on 2nd and 26 in overtime of the national championship game.

For Crimson Tide fans, it was a bittersweet comeback as Nick Saban hoisted fifth national championship at Alabama. But for the fans of the Bulldogs and the players on the sideline, a sign of disappointment as the season slipped out of their hands in just a matter of seconds.

Georgia wide receiver Terry Godwin was on the sideline on the play and during his media availability at SEC Media Days in Atlanta he discussed how the team dealt with the loss.

"To me its all about your mindset," Godwin said. "If you dwell on the past then the next team has already defeated you because you are thinking about that last loss. If you are a true competitor, you want to put that in the past and build on what you got coming up next and whoever the next team that's up next gets your best."

Despite being over the game and over the play, Godwin still doesn't want to see nor hear about the 2nd and 26 play that cost the Bulldogs the national championship.

“We have watched it once or twice when we have watched film," Godwin said. "Other than that, we try not to dwell on the past and instead look towards the future.”
