Happy Birthday Coach Nate Oats!

As if there weren’t enough excitement surrounding Alabama basketball, today we celebrate Coach Nate Oats’ 46th birthday!

Coach Oats began his head coaching career most notably with the University of Buffalo. Buffalo finished the 2017-2018 season as MAC champions and defeated the University of Arizona in the NCAA Tournament. Oats became head coach of the Tide in 2019.

The two time MAC coach of the year has been building an elite team to compete for an SEC title and a bid to the NCAA tournament. Oats began his tenure in Alabama last season and had a big win against the No. 4 ranked team in the country, Auburn.

Oats has been building a big time recruiting class for 2021 which already included his first 5 star recruit, JD Davison. To say that Alabama fans aren’t excited for this upcoming season, would be a huge understatement.
