Justice Finkley, Alabama's No. 6 player in the 2022 recruiting class, announced his commitment to the University of Texas on CBS Sports Live. Finkley chose the Longhorns over the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Colorado Buffaloes.

Finkley tweeted on Sept. 8 that he would be going to the school to play with the best of the best. The Longhorns entered the day with the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation and the No. 1 class in the Big 12, Finkley's addition will serve to supplement Steve Sarkisian's first full recruiting class.

The defensive lineman is the third best player in the Texas class and becomes the 14th 4-star player. Finkley is rated the No. 19 defensive lineman in the 2022 class and the third best defensive lineman in the state of Alabama.

The Crimson Tide is not hurting for in-state defensive lineman in the 2022 class. The Tide has commitments from 5-star Jeremiah Alexander, the No. 1 player in the state, and is reportedly in the lead for 4-star defensive lineman Khurtiss Perry.
