TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama's spring practices have been buzzing with energy, and much of that noise is centered around the young linebacker group. Veteran defensive lineman Tim Keenan III,  a steady presence on the Crimson Tide's defensive front, didn't hold back when asked about his impression of linebacker QB Reese.

"QB Reese has been making extreme noise this spring, so I'm definitely proud of him," said Keenan III. "I'm excited for him and the player he's molded into, and the player he's becoming. I'm excited to see him on that field this year, hopefully."

Reese, a former three-star linebacker prospect out of Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama, was ranked as the No. 72 linebacker nationally in both On3 Consensus and 247Composite rankings. In the state of Alabama, he was slotted at No. 39 and No. 40, respectively, by the Consensus and Composite. Rivals.com rated him even higher, placing him as the No. 29 linebacker in the country.

Reese, just like any young player, has been trying to find his way into the transition from high school to college football. According to Keenan, Reese has the skill set of a "dog," and his willingness to grow will be a great factor into the transition.

"Knowledge and growing into his spot," said Keenan when asked how he has seen Reese grow the most. "Not saying that he's undersized, but at first look, you may think that - but that's a dog. He made his way on the field; he made the coach put him in; he made himself get those reps."

The Crimson Tide will close out their spring practice on April 12 with an open practice for the public. With many young players garnering lots of attention, the viewing period will be a great opportunity to see how Reese and more are making their mark.
