Howie Schwab Laid Off Wednesday as Part of ESPN Cutbacks

Howie Schwab of Stump the Schwab fame was laid off on Wednesday as part of the hundreds of layoffs ESPN is making in Bristol. The 26-year-veteran had always been a big part of the company and hosted the sports trivia game show for two years.

Schwab took to Facebook to share his frustrations.

ESPNU's late night show 'Unite' had resurrected Schwab's television career in recent months, which you can see here (probably not for much longer).

Unfortunately, there are many more of these stories trickling out of Connecticut after the latest rounds of layoffs hit production operations, which is one of the biggest departments in the company. Something tells me we'll get a lot of dirt on the Worldwide Leader over the next week or two.
