ESPN Releasing Six Part Series About Former Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban
On Monday, ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship, ESPN announced that the broadcasting juggernaut will be releasing a six-episode ESPN Original Series, "Saban." The six-part series will highlight the life and career of legendary college football head coach Nick Saban, who won seven total national championships and 12 conference championships, with 11 of them coming in the SEC.

Six of Saban's national championships came at the University of Alabama, including back-to-back championships in 2011 and 2012, and two undefeated national championships in 2009 and 2020. Saban also won national titles in 2015 and 2017, with Saban claiming nine of his 11 SEC championships during his tenure with the Crimson Tide. Saban accumulated an overall collegiate record of 292-71-1, including going 19-12 in bowl games and 9-5 in College Football Playoff games.
The press release, provided by ESPN, says that the series will "peel back the curtain on the long, closely guarded world of Saban, with hundreds of hours of never-before-seen football from the locker room and practice fields, as well as many other behind-the-scenes-moments in his career at Alabama, and prior to that LSU, the Miami Dolphins, and Michigan State, among other stops."
