Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore could possibly be taking his talents elsewhere or take them to the NFL after he posted a message on his Instagram story asking for someone to take on his lease in March.

This could be nothing major but it is bizarre that Moore would be looking for someone to take over his lease in the middle of the semester.

Moore burst on to the scene as a freshmen in 2020, he finished with a team high three interceptions and finished with 44 total tackles in eleven games played on the season. This terrific play earned Moore a spot on the All Sec Second-Team and Freshmen All-Sec team as Alabama won the National Championship against Ohio State.

The Trussville native took a step back in his sophomore season however, Moore was injury plagued throughout the 2021 season he missed time with a back injury and most people believe that held Moore back and he was not the same player we saw in 2020. Moore finished with only one interception and an underwhelming 16 tackles in nine games played.

This season was much of the same for Moore, the defensive back struggled to see consistent playing time in his junior campaign due to a crowded secondary with the return of Jordan Battle and the emergence of Koolaid McKinstry.

Moore could go another route and declare for the NFL Draft, foregoing his senior season. The All-SEC player, believe it or not, has been receiving first round draft grades by various mock drafts despite seeing little action in his junior season. Moore was projected to be taken ninth overall by the Eagles according to The Huddle Report.

Moore finished the season having played in 12 games with 27 total tackles and no interceptions. Although nothing is set in stone all signs are pointing to Moore taking his talents elsewhere for his senior season.
