Jahvon Quinerly Has Played His Final Game in Crimson
According to a post via his own Instagram account, redshirt-junior point guard Jahvon Quinerly has played his last collegiate game and will not return to Alabama for the coming season.
In Alabama's opening-round loss to Notre Dame in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Quinerly suffered a severe left knee injury in the opening minutes and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Following the appearance, Alabama coach Nate Oats said, "It's disappointing for him because he's going to graduate this spring."
"He's going to test the draft process. His plan was to go be a professional, it's gonna obviously put a big kink in those plans."
Quinerly had been with the Tide for three seasons after transferring from Villanova in 2019. He made 27 starts for Alabama in 2022 and was second on the team in scoring (13.8 PPG) and total assists (137).
In his college career, Quinerly collected 255 assists, 46 steals, and over 900 points between Alabama and Villanova. He was second on the team in points per game (12.9) for the 2021 Alabama squad that took home an SEC championship and made a Sweet Sixteen appearance led by seniors John Petty Jr. and Herbert Jones.
