Jam Miller, the junior running back for Alabama, talked to the media after the Crimson Tide's decisive victory over the Tigers in Death Valley, where they won by 29 points to maintain their playoff aspirations.

In Saturday's resounding victory over the Tigers, Miller had 13 carries for 38 rushing yards and five receptions for 50 receiving yards. The Tide increased their lead to 35-6 after Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe scored a 72-yard rushing touchdown, and the LSU fans left the stadium late in the third quarter. "As you can see, we essentially cleared out the stadium today. The only thing you could see was crimson," Miller said.

When Miller saw the LSU supporters leaving early, the junior running back for the Crimson Tide said it was an experience he would "remember forever."

According to Miller, the Tide's success on the ground—which included 311 yards on the ground throughout the game and all six of their touchdowns—came primarily from watching "film" on the Tigers and learning "how guys play." Miller claimed that by doing this, the Tide was able to identify the Tigers' defense "weakness" and exploit it against them, and based on the outcome of tonight's game, Alabama unquestionably made excellent use of those weaknesses against LSU.

Miller went into further detail about how the Alabama coaches prepared the team for the wet environment. According to the junior running back for the Tide, the team practiced with a "wet ball" all week to avoid putting the ball on the ground, something Alabama didn't do, as the Tide only gave up one turnover on downs in the second quarter.

With a decisive victory in Baton Rouge this past Saturday night, Jam Miller and the Crimson Tide maintained their hopes of making the playoffs. The 7-2 Alabama Crimson Tide will build on this victory when they host the 9-1 Southern Conference Mercer Bears on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
