Alabama in the NFL: Week 13 Recap
This past weekend's games are in the books. The playoffs are right around the corner and some teams are stumbling while others are trucking. Lets see how the Bama players that took the field this weekend impacted their games.
Packers - 31 at Lions - 24:
Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) - A modest outing for Gibbs on Thanksgiving against a tough Packers defense. Gibbs carried the rock 20 times for 68 yards and had another three catches for 18 yards. Gibbs failed to reach the end-zone for the fifth time out of twelve games. Gibbs was not as productive due to a tight game script. He should bounce back just fine.
Jameson Williams (Lions) - Seven catches for 144 yards and a touchdown. A great outing for Williams in this game. He was all over the place and made a ton of great grabs. He is catching his stride in this offense and should continue to be a focal point for this team going forward.
Josh Jacobs (Packers) - 17 carries for 83 yards. Another modest performance from an Alabama running back. This game was more pass than it was run, as both teams were able to stuff the run game pretty well. Look for Jacobs to continue to have a good season next week.
Bengals - 32 at Ravens - 14:
Derrick Henry (Ravens) - Henry had a good showing against a very getable defense, but outside of Henry, the Ravens struggled offensively. Henry broke out for a 28 yard touchdown early. He also had a catch that he took for 44 yards. He was able to be effective and should continue to be going forward.
Bears - 24 at Eagles - 15:
Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - Outside of throwing two touchdowns, Hurts had a tough outing with two turnovers. Throwing a pic and losing a fumble hurt this team and set up the Bears for a huge win. It was not pretty for this offense in this game.
DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - Five catches for 48 yards, Smitty did his best to keep the chains moving for this offense. Again, It was not pretty for this offense, and everything they did felt like a challenge.
Player of the week: Jameson Williams
That does it for the week 13 recap. Check back Thursday for the week 14 outlook.
