Jedrick Wills Declares for NFL Draft
Jedrick Wills, junior offensive tackle of Alabama, made his declaration for the NFL draft. He stands at 6’5” and 320 pounds. Wills saw spot duty as a freshman but has started at right tackle for the Crimson Tide the last two seasons. Wills has been responsible for protecting the blindside of left-handed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Wills was ranked as the top prospect out of the state of Kentucky, the seventh ranked offensive tackle and the 34th overall prospect in the nation his senior year of high school in 2017. Wills is projected by ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper as the sixth-rated offensive tackle in this year’s draft class. Bleacherreport’s Matt Miller recently projected Wills to be selected 11th overall by the New York Jets. Wills earned second team All-America honors from the AP, Sporting News and the Walter Camp association in 2019.
The NFL draft will be April 23-25 in Las Vegas Nevada to determine where Wills will play his professional football. The Crimson Tide will look to Evan Neal, Pierce Quick or incoming freshman Javion Cohen to replace Wills on the offensive line next season.
