Julio Jones Like The Popular Restaurant Chain is Always Open
Former Alabama legend and current Tennessee Titan Julio Jones showed off some new gear on Thursday as the Titans opened training camp. Jones, a 10-year NFL veteran debuted custom Waffle House cleats in his first practice with his new team.
The former 5-star prospect has used "Waffle House" as a nickname dating back to his days at Foley High School as he is "always open" much like the popular restaurant. He was traded from the Falcons to the Titans this offseason in a move to save the Falcons money.
Jones will join fellow Alabama alum Derrick Henry in Nashville this season as well as prolific former Ole Miss receiver A.J. Brown. The three players will look to put strain on defenses that attempt to key in on one particular aspect of the Titans offense.
The Alabama legend has ben a five-time NFL All-Pro (2 First Team and 3 Second Team), a seven time Pro Bowler and is a member of the NFL All-Decade Team for the 2010s. Through 10 seasons he has accumulated 848 receptions for 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns.
The USA Today High School All-American earned SEC Freshman of the Year, was an SEC Champion and a member of the 2009 National Championship team as a member of the Crimson Tide.
Jones should have no trouble getting his "All Star Special" in Nashville, the popular breakfast chain has 16 locations in the Music City. Just remind the Waffle House line cooks that Julio enjoys his hashbrowns every way except "covered".
