Kalen DeBoer Debunks Rumor About His Family
Posts circulated on social media last week, with rumors about Kalen DeBoer and his wife, Nicole, announcing a pregnancy. It would be DeBoer's third child, with the DeBoers already having two daughters.
The posts were a "gotcha" troll attempt on Facebook, and it unfortunately caught a loyal caller to "Hey Coach" and "The Kalen DeBoer Show." Peewee from Grandbay opened his call on Wednesday night congratulating DeBoer on the pregnancy announcement with his wife. DeBoer laughed, and interrupted Peewee's call to provide clarity, "I hate to burst your bubble Peewee, but that is not true."
"But that's something that happened with a lot of people, not just me. Rumors are crazy. The only reason why I know is because I got a lot of text messages saying congratulations," DeBoer said.
The DeBoers only have two daughters, Alexis and Avery. Alexis is a true freshman at the University of Washington, where she is an infielder for the Huskies' softball team.
"Hey, Coach" host Chris Stewart joked with DeBoer after the call, congratulating him on not having a kid at 50 years old, laughing that having a kid at 50 would mean the kid would go to college when DeBoer is 68.
Here is the fake post.
DeBoer will lead the Crimson Tide against the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge on Saturday, November 9. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
