Alabama fans who wanted to see Ryan Williams at A-Day were a little disappointed, as the superstar wide receiver for the Crimson Tide suffered an injury toward the end of spring practice.

Williams did not participate in A-Day, and Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said in April that Williams would be fine, but limited for the rest of spring practice.

On Wednesday, Kalen DeBoer spoke with Mac and Cube on WJOX, providing an update on the second-year star from Saraland.

"Unfortunately, at the end of spring ball, he suffered a little bit of a ding. He'll be fine," DeBoer said on Wednesday. "He'll be ready to roll here this summer. But going back all the way to January, just kind of him understanding - even from last season - where he needed to get better. It's being stronger."

"He's just younger. The body is maturing, and then him putting that work in - just being stronger, more durable, those types of things."

Williams' body is still developing. He reclassified from the 2025 recruiting class to the 2024 class and played as a freshman in college at 17 years old. Williams will work with Alabama Director of Performance Dave Ballou to continue to grow and get stronger as he prepares for year two with Alabama.
