Leading into the matchup against Tennessee, Sabb was listed on the Southeastern Conference injury report, leaving uncertainty about his availability.  He in fact did play, putting his body on the line to contribute some key stops despite the loss.

During the game, Sabb left in the second quarter after limping off the field. He then returned after halftime and played in the third quarter before leaving again. Fans couldn't help but notice how uncomfortable he seemed during the matchup.

Following Saturday's loss, not much of an update was provided beyond the evident fact that he was suffering from a lower extremity injury. However, during Monday's press conference, Coach Kalen DeBoer provided some insight regarding Sabb: "He does have a lower extremity injury. We're still gathering information, but we do expect him to be down for a while. That could be an extended amount of time, but we'll continue to evaluate."

Not long after the presser, news broke that Sabb played against the Volunteers on a broken foot. Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy stated, "when he ran down the field and broke up that play by Squirrel White down the sideline, he chased him down with a broken foot," during the McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning show.

With Sabb missing some time, his replacement will be sophomore Bray Hubbard, who entered the game for Sabb on Saturday. DeBoer has much faith in Hubbard, who record nine tackles against the Volunteers. "Bray's been working hard for this opportunity, not just last week but every week he has worked to be ready. We had no doubt that he would be ready Saturday when he was called upon. He'll go out there again this week and our team really believes in him," said DeBoer.

DeBoer emphasized the "next man up mentality" and finished his statement by crediting Sabb for his grit."I love Keon to death and he's a warrior. There are more things I want to say about Keon and what he did to go out there and try to help our football team," said DeBoer

As Sabb is continuously being evaluated, stay informed through Tide 100.9. As an official report will be delivered after DeBoer and his staff confirm the severity of the injury and a possible timeline.
