The SEC has announced the Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville, Miss., Saturday, October 16 at 6 p.m. inside Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.

Alabama leads the series 85-17-3 on the field, with two Crimson Tide wins vacated (1993 forfeit and 2005 vacated.) In the two programs' last meeting, Alabama dominated the contest-winning 41-0 inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The game will be Alabama's second-straight road game following a trip to Kyle Field to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Mississippi State will enjoy a BYE week after a hard-fought win over Texas A&M themselves.

This will be the second meeting between the two programs with Mike Leech at the helm of the program. His pass-heavy offensive style has struggled for the most part in the SEC, but a win over TAMU could see his team put up more of a fight than it did last season.

The Bulldogs are lead by quarterback Will Rogers, a Week 4 SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. He's completed 75% of his 284 passes for 1,862 yards, 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Last season against the Crimson Tide, Alabama, Rogers completed 24 of 37 passes for 147 yards with two picks.

The game will air on ESPN nationally. Fans can listen to Eli Gold and John Parker Wilson's call of the game live via the Crimson Tide Sports Network on the Tide 100.9 App.
