The Commodores travel to Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2011 when AJ McCarron threw for 247 yards and 4 touchdowns in the 34-0 shutout over the 'Dores.

Alabama traveled to Nashville in 2017 where Damien Harris ran all over the Vanderbilt defense. The Crimson Tide offense clicked on all cylinders and the defense shut down any trace of Commodore offense, allowing only 78 total yards. Alabama won the 2017 matchup 59-0 and leads the series 59-19-4.

The matchup marks the first SEC game for both teams in 2022.

Vanderbilt hasn't won an SEC game since 2019 while Alabama is the reigning SEC champion.
