Local Three-Star Commits to Alabama on National Signing Day
Sawyer Deerman, standing at 5-foot-10 and 175-pounds, is the complete package, and then some. He can play quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and he can even return kicks and punts. He has always made sure his coaches knew he would do anything asked of him.
Deerman took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce he was committing to the Alabama Crimson Tide as a preferred walk-on.
Deerman was raised in Tuscaloosa, and played for both American Christian Academy before transferring to Tuscaloosa County High School for his senior season.
He will look to compete for playing time this upcoming season as he will do everything in his power to keep displaying his offensive versatility at multiple positions.
Deerman will now officially be staying home and playing for the best head coach in college football in Nick Saban.
Alabama has compiled one of, if not the best recruiting class in years with nine five-stars and 18 four-stars, and now two three-stars in this year's class, with the local-product Deerman being the most recent add.
