Look: Alabama Held Its First Spring Scrimmage of the Year
The Alabama Crimson Tide took the field in Bryant-Denny Stadium for its first scrimmage of the spring season. The Crimson Tide is now eight practices into the spring season and will hold a second scrimmage next Saturday before the annual A-Day contest on April 16.
"I think number one the goal of a day like today, first scrimmage in spring ball is, we want to see how many guys that we can give them the knowledge, the experience, the technique, the fundamentals, the ability to go out and execute so that they can go out and play winning football in the fall," said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "The more guys that we can get lots of turns to improve their knowledge and experience in the spring is obviously going to help us tremendously in terms of what they're going to be able to contribute in the fall."
