LSU Releases Touching Tribute to Mascot Mike [VIDEO]

LSU’s live tiger mascot Mike VI died Tuesday after a short battle with cancer and the school produced a moving tribute to Mike as a way to say good bye.

Mike VI was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and has been undergoing treatment since May.

The beloved tiger's passing triggered a wave of tributes on social media and even prompted a Tweet from Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards.

LSU said there won't a formal memorial service for the mascot but is encouraging fans to share photos on social media.
