After a massive performance, leading the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide past the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs 41-24, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

Jones completed 75% of his passes for 417 yards and four touchdowns. He is the first Alabama quarterback to pass for over 400 yards in three consecutive games. His 90-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle in the third quarter put the Crimson Tide ahead for good.

His four touchdown passes to three different receivers gave Jones 12 touchdown passes on the season. Jones has thrown for 1,518 yards through four games this year.

It is the second time that Jones has won this award this season. He was awarded the Manning Award for his efforts against a top defense in the Georgia Bulldogs.

Many wondered if Jones would be able to lead the Crimson Tide offense after the departure of top draft pick Tua Tagovailoa. After nearly halfway through the shortened season, Jones has shown he is up for leading the Alabama offense.

Alabama is fifth in the nation in yards per game with 561 yards per game but second nationally in passing yards averaging 393 yards passing. The Tide is first in the country in yards per attempt averaging 12.68 yards per pass attempt, utilizing Jones' ability to push the ball down the field.

Jones will lead the Alabama offense this weekend against the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville.
