The Alabama men's 4x400 meter relay team set a new school record during the Randall Tyson Invitational on Saturday.

The record-setting team, which includes Alabama defensive back Marlon Humphrey, broke the nine-year-old record by a full second, running 03:06:05 to win the fifth heat. Alabama finished third out of 19 teams at the event hosted by the University of Arkansas.

The four runners - Steven Gayle, Cameron Hudson, Alex Amankwah, and Humphrey - posed for a picture after the race, which Hudson shared it to his Twitter account.

Not only was the time an Alabama record, but it was the fourth-fastest time in the world this year.

"We had a great day today," said Crimson Tide head coach Dan Waters. "It wasn’t perfect, but it was great preparation for the SEC meet in two weeks. We faced top competition and learned a lot about our team today. We are in a very good spot at this point in the season. Seeing the PRs that were set, along with the school record in the relay, is a good indicator that we are hitting our stride at the right time of the season."
