It's that time of year again.  The days are getting hotter and the sun is staying out longer.  And very soon, the NBA and NHL will be crowning their respective champions.  These (possibly) 14 games are some of the most anticipated events for sports fans every year.  But unless you're at a bar or your house has two tv's in the same room, you might have to lick just one to watch.  So we ask you, our listeners, to tell us which Finals series is better! Let's look at what each has to offer:

The NBA Finals is steeped in glory.  Names like Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were made by winning on basketball's highest stage.  Without a doubt, the most memorable moments in the NBA occurred in the Finals, and many more are sure to follow.  This year offers a rare rematch from the year before.  The Miami Heat are defending champions, with superstar Lebron James looking to build his legacy as one of the best players ever.  Last year, they defeated the San Antonio Spurs in 7 games, and the Spurs are back and better than ever.  Tim Duncan continues to defy age, but can newcomer Kawhi Leonard help the Spurs win their 5th title in 6 tries?  All indications are that this series should be just as good as last year's classic.

The Stanley Cup might be the most famous trophy in all of sports.  The presentation ceremony, with the captain of the winning team lifting it before a raucus crowd, is just incredible to watch.  Hockey may not be as popular as basketball, but its fans are some of the most passionate you will ever find.  This year, the teams battling for the cup are on opposite sides of the country and history.  The New York Rangers are one of the NHL original teams, and they have a fanbase that stretches worldwide.  However, it has been 20 years since they last one the Cup and the faithful at Madison Square Garden are getting restless.  The Los Angeles Kings won their first Cup title just two years ago.  Before then, they were only known for the brief stint Wayne Gretzky spent with the team after Edmonton broke Canada's collective heart and traded him. Now, the Kings are slowly becoming a force, and a second title in 3 years would elevate them to relevancy that many older teams are having trouble finding.

So what do you think? Would you rather hit a buzzer beater for the Larry O'Brien Trophy?  Or do you want to skate around with the Stanley Cup over your head?
