In the midst of Alabama's 49-27 Iron Bowl victory, Nick Saban received a battle scar to go along with a wild season.

According to the CBS broadcast, Saban reportedly got cut by a player's shoulder pads during the first half of the game.

It did not take long for the "battle scar" to be addressed in the postgame press conference. Saban opened the presser with an epic quote, stating "before you ask, you oughta see the other guy."

Saban also mentioned that he took one of the hardest hits of the game, but did not go to the medical tent.

"Unlike some of our players who had to go to the medical tent... like I always say, they don't make 'em like they used to."

Saban has consistently been one of the toughest individuals in the program on and off the field, especially after returning the day after his hip surgery. The head coach should be good to go for the Tide's bowl game this year.

Saban still coached to full effectiveness on Saturday, 'freezing' the Tigers in place to take home this year's Iron Bowl win.

After the wild events of rivalry week (including South Carolina's upset win over the No. 8 Clemson Tigers), the Tide are still on the outside looking in for a chance to play for a national championship.
