Noah Clowney wins ANOTHER Hard Hat
In Alabama's 106-66 rout of the LSU Tigers, Noah Clowney earned the Hard Hat Award, his 5th of the season.
Clowney has been playing at an elite level all season, winning two SEC freshman of the week honors and averaging slightly under a double-double.
The Spartanburg, SC native, continued his stellar play Saturday afternoon. Clowney only had 4 points, shooting 28% from the field, but his contributions on the glass and on the defensive side of the ball won him the award.
Clowney dominated the glass, being 2nd in all players in total rebounds and offensive rebounds. 15 was also a significant part in locking up LSU's K.J Williams, who averages 19 points and 8 rebounds a game. Williams was held to 10 points on 33% shooting, the former Murray State Racer also turned over the ball twice.
The 6-foot-10 forward is currently projected to go 27th to the Utah Jazz according to Tankathon. They also have him as the 27th-ranked prospect.
Clowney said it best in the postgame press conference, with a quote that perfectly described his hard hat style of play:
"You've got to play every team like they're capable. Don't underestimate anybody."
Watch Clowney and the 4th-ranked Crimson Tide travel to Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Central on SEC Network.
