Over a Third of Alabama Under Tornado Watch

Living and working in what is said to be "tornado alley," being under tornado watch isn't much of a surprise.  However, over a third of the state is under watch right now.

It might be best for us to limit insignificant travel today as much of the state is under the same alert.  According to the National Weather Service, the following Alabama Counties are under tornado watch until 8:00pm:

LAMAR

LAUDERDALE

SHELBY

SUMTER

TUSCALOOSA

WALKER

WINSTON

Have safety kits and plans in place.  Even if a tornado doesn't develop, it's always best to be safe rather than sorry.
