Saturday was an amazing day for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The football program won its second SEC Championship by defeating the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs 41-24 and fans, players and coaches celebrated deep into the night.

Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding limited the Georgia Bulldogs to just 24 points en route to the Tide pulling the upset but Golding was almost in hot water after the game when a video surfaced of him getting too cozy with an Alabama cheerleader.

Fortunately this was not the case. The man in the video was graduate assistant Jake Long and the cheerleader? His girlfriend.

On December fourth @OldRowSports tweeted “Coach Pete bringing a little something with him to the trophy ceremony!” In which Long addressed this misidentification by tweeting back, “That ain’t Coach Golding, that's me and my girl bragen, shoulda shaved the beard… #RTR”

He followed up with another tweet stating, “That’s me boss, and my girl bragen, everybody always mixes me up with the boss man”

Long did objectively acknowledge the resemblance between he and  Golding and tweeted a photo of them standing side by side.

Long was a walkon for the Crimson Tide program from 2014-16 before transitioning into a graduate assistant and an analyst role.
