On the next possession for the Pickens County, senior Elijah Merriweather took the first offensive play from scrimmage 87 yards for a touchdown. The Tornados converted the two-point conversion to make the score 14-0.

Senior quarterback Demarkis Giles took over for Pickens County. Giles found Kemaurion Plott on a 19-yard touchdown pass. Giles also connected with junior X' Zavian Hood early in the second quarter for a 30-yard touchdown to extend the Tornados lead 32-0.

"This is a good win. We played pretty good and we just looking forward to playoffs and a championship," said Giles.

Senior Kendarius Barnes carried the load on the Tornados next drive, recording four runs for 21 yards, and capped off the drive with a one-yard touchdown run to make the score 38-0.

Pickens County scored again right before halftime as Plott added his second touchdown of the night, giving the Tornados a commanding 46-0 lead at halftime.

Due to the score at halftime, the game had a running clock for the second-half. Pickens County added two more touchdowns in that half to make the final score 60-0.

"Any time you come off a loss, it's big to come out with a win and we wanted to dominate every aspect of the game. But, hats off to Holy Spirit, not a lot of people coming off a three-year layoff want to compete," said Pickens County head coach Michael Williams.

Next week, Pickens County hosts Hubbertville, while Holy Spirit travels to Brilliant, still seeking its first win of the season.
